It was my first time to attend a whole day event and was indeed something to look forward again next year.
There were great line of new camera technology presented by off course the well known leaders of the industry, the great lessons taught by respected master photographers, and off course the sheer number of photographers who particiapted.
Below are some of the pictures I took. Please check them out, would be glad to hear your comments.
March 21 was the day DPP celebrated its 9th anniversary. Lots of activities and prizes were given and lucky participants got some quality cameras and freebies.
Also had some great learnings from master photographers and imagineers. Was also able to get shooting advises shooting a live model. Also, some announcements were said, but I leave that with DPP to make on the official page. Also, the recent KLM Assignment Amsterdam was shown and the work of Paul and Marc was totally cool. We are also joined by 5th placer of the HIPA, James Singlador. He shared with us the experience he had. He just termed it “living the life of the rich and famous.”
Aside from the learning activities, a few celebrities graced the event. We had Marian Rivera for the book signing of Jay Tablante’s Geekology 2.0. We also had Manny Pokyaw for the entire day actually, since there was a boxing ring.
At the evening discussion the topic was all about going professional. It was really an enlightening talk together with the original DPP forum members and members who eventually became professional photographers.
To give you a quick idea what was DPP all about, check out this short timelapse of all the photos I’ve taken while I was in the event:
Some few edited pictures. Will post others once done.
It has been awhile since I edited some of the pictures I have taken. As they say if you don’t use it you lose it.
Photo editing skills are as important as your photography skills. Not all photos you take will be perfect. There will be photos that might be good or even great but a few details needs to be change to make it the “photo”.
I have always mentioned that I have been a fan of paint.net for most of my photo editing(because it’s free) but I do have an old version of Photoshop Lightroom 3 that helps me quick photo post-processing. I am not yet taking photos professionally(yup still more of a hobby) but at this early stage self-improvement once one starts to bring photography to the next level.
Below are some edited photos from my recent 2014 Manila Auto Salon photo shoots.
After dinner with my sister’s visiting family, I ask my brother-in-law to drop me at the Ayala Triangle to test my Canon 70D. Below are some of my video capture of the famous Ayala Triangle Festival of Lights
My old “kabalens”, Ormil Go, invited me to the 2014 Manila Auto Salon last November 22, 2014 at the SMX Mall of Asia in Pasay City. It so happen that I am still testing the Canon 70D.
The Canon 70D is believe to be one of the best mid-range camera for video and Canon is regarded as the better brand of DSLR camera for taking videos. Also besides the professional look of the Canon 70D it is packed with 20megapixel, 7pfs, and the Dual AF. So besides the video test I did of course I took pictures of the cars and the models in the car show. Check them out below:
The company I work for recently held their Team Alignment(aka Team Building) session at Gratchi’s Getaway in Tagaytay, Cavite.
And since I have to participate I was not able to take lots of photos for the event. Much of it are the landscape I took after the event. I am currently processing them but for now check out this photo of a dog in Gratchi’s Getaway.
I got this email days back telling me that my photo submission was rejected due to poor focus but they did check out this photoblog and they spotted one photo which they like. They requested that I submit the photo instead. So check me out today, February 23, 2014, at Photoblogalliance to see which photo was pick. Would appreciate you spreading this milestone for my photography journey.
Also check as well other photos submitted by professional and aspiring photographers worldwide. Photoblog Alliance is an international collaborative photoblog which aims to showcase the photography of photography bloggers worldwide.
Was preparing my sandwich for work and as I was washing my hands I noticed this weird white inverted “V” like thing in the blue clouds. I thought it was a cloud but as the passing cloud pass the thing was still there. After a few seconds it seems to move and after a minute it was moving fast. So I thought it was I was thinking, a UFO(Unidentified Flying Object).
So I got my camera and switch to my Sigma Telephoto Zoom lens to get a better look on this alleged UFO. Check out the image I got below:
I thought it was really a UFO that I started day dreaming of having a UFO tracking career but as I look at it is indeed a rocket. I wonder why a rocket is launch early morning and more why is there a rocket launch. It could be a test rocket or probably it is a rocket carrying a satellite to orbit the earth, I don’t really want to speculate it is one of those North Korean missiles.
