It has been awhile since I edited some of the pictures I have taken. As they say if you don’t use it you lose it.
Photo editing skills are as important as your photography skills. Not all photos you take will be perfect. There will be photos that might be good or even great but a few details needs to be change to make it the “photo”.
I have always mentioned that I have been a fan of paint.net for most of my photo editing(because it’s free) but I do have an old version of Photoshop Lightroom 3 that helps me quick photo post-processing. I am not yet taking photos professionally(yup still more of a hobby) but at this early stage self-improvement once one starts to bring photography to the next level.
Below are some edited photos from my recent 2014 Manila Auto Salon photo shoots.
Technology has made it easy to get a photo and share it tot he world. But selfies are not portraits. It shares just that particular moment but I believe portraits show the total identity of a person. Below is my self-portrait(or maybe a selfie). Would it define me?
Complete darkness is not that bad when there is a small flicker of light. For the past few days Metro Manila and the rest of Southern part of Luzon in the Philippines are on rotational brownouts due to the damaged power grid brought about by typhoon Glenda(international name Rammasun).
While the power is out I took pictures of this small flicker of light here in our place in Makati.
Got this small statue of Buddha when I went to Hong Kong last year. This one is depicted as smiling and happy and if you notice it is carrying a sack for a journey. I guess that all tells the lesson: Life is a happy journey.
One thing that we as humans have to have is to have faith in God. Trusting humans is already hard how much more God whom you can’t physically see. But as the Lord said “be like a child” and put your trust in Him.
I have been working now for about a month at my new employer in Makati. It is good that I can work at flex time even though working in the finance department. Lots of learning and of course as I have told a priest friend that for the nearly five months that I am not working I began to question what should I be doing. As if God abandon me and I felt useless from day-to-day just at the province doing the routine or either here in Manila just in my sister’s place waiting for a call from my applications.
My priest friend lead me to John 14. And it simple says that God has prepared a place for us and thus we need not worry. And Isaiah did resonate John’s message in the gospel: He will never forget us.
Thank you Lord, I know and I bet you know that I still have doubts and questions where am I right now but I thank you for You were always there for me.
I got this email days back telling me that my photo submission was rejected due to poor focus but they did check out this photoblog and they spotted one photo which they like.
